A local eye care client was interested in pursuing an advertising campaign that would really expose them to the local market, and help develop a strong brand for their services in our city. We worked with Enticent Sales Support in December 2007 to develop a perceptual survey that would allow us to get more information regarding the ways in which our client was viewed in the Rochester market. After the initial four-week run, we were given a set of results that showed 78.6% of the 1,200+ survey respondents had NEVER heard of our eye care specialist. Emboldened by these results, along with the other valuable data from the survey, our client spent roughly the next year or so making a serious effort to advertise more in the Rochester market and develop their local brand. In April 2009 we ran a second StickyFish survey; this time with a lead-generating component. When the results from the second survey were returned we noted that of the 1,300+ respondents, 43.4% replied that they HAD heard of our client and were aware of their respective services. Not only was this more than a 20% increase in brand awareness from December 2007, we were also able to garner multiple leads using the opt-in component of the lead-generating survey. Our client was thrilled! With the help of the initial survey in 2007, our eye care specialists were able to take a more targeted approach with their advertising budget and the results in 2009 spoke volumes.
