We’re pleased to announce that we now have Facebook authentication and registration available for our StickyFish and FanClub radio clients!

About a month ago we rolled this out to a few clients in a limited beta release. We’ve received great feedback and are ready to extend the beta release and make Facebook authentication and registration available to all of our radio clients. We’re anticipating a full release sometime in late July or early August to all StickyFish and Fanclub clients.

The benefits of using Facebook for authentication are many:

1. Higher Adoption – most users recognize Facebook Connect as an easy registration mechanism and feel it is less invasive than having to register for a separate site. This allows you to more quickly grow your database!
2. Easy login – Once registered, users can login with a single click, instead of having to remember a username and password
3. Socializing your loyalty program – In the coming year we are going to be rolling out many ways that users can interact with each other on your site – these will largely be driven by social networks so by adopting Facebook registration and authentication you will have a leg up in driving adoption of these new features

Release Notes – 6/9/11

A new version of our software was released on the 9^th.  This release contains both fixes and enhancements.  Here’s what’s been updated in this release…

Enhancement: Custom success message – Added an option for admin users to customize the message that displays after a member enters a correct answer and receives points in the bonus code module.

Fixed: Styling – Fixed several minor text styling issues on the member support pages.

Fixed: API – Fixed regression issue that was causing calls to the GetSiteSubscriptions and UpdateMemberSubscriptions APIs to fail.

How can I use the mobile registration page?

It’s simple: just take any site and add /m/register.aspx to the end.

Here’s an example:  http://atlantasrock.listenernetwork.com/m/register.aspx

As you probably know from your own mobile experience, consumers by and large are not inclined to fill out long forms on a mobile device.  Given this, the mobile registration form is designed to collect only email, password, date of birth, gender and zip code, and acceptance of your terms & privacy policy.  Users who register via this form will be automatically opted into your ‘default’ email subscriptions.

Enhancement: Music testing – Added an option for admin users to download the list of participants in a music test on-demand.

Enhancement: Prize limit override – Added an option to the contest, trade-in, and auction modules to ignore the prize limit rule for any given instance.

Enhancement: API testing toolkit – Created a testing toolkit that can be used to test against our API methods.  This is a valuable resource for anyone trying to integrate with one of our APIs.

Enhancement: API method – Added a new API method for creating member records that does not require the party creating the records to serve as the master database.

Enhancement: GetStationInfo API – Now that a WAP registration page is available for every site, we added ‘mobile registration URL’ to the return message when calling the GetStationInfo API.

Enhancement: Featured link character limit – Increased the number of characters allowed for URLs in the featured links module to 500.

Enhancement: Modal prompt – Added a prompt that captures mobile phone number when a user tries to access the mobile alerts preferences page on sites that are integrated with a text messaging provider.

Enhancement: Unsubscribe Process – We modified how unsubscribes are processed in Tribal Direct 2.0 to eliminate the chance for delay in processing. 

Fixed: Points aging – Closed loophole in points aging process related to auctions.

Fixed: Casino – Fixed rare exploit discovered in casino games that could be used to earn points.

Fixed: Referral Points – Fixed issue where in some cases members would not receive referral points.

Fixed: Blackjack – Fixed issue where a user playing blackjack for the first time that closes the game without interacting with the game first receives an error message.
