Minor Release Notes – 8/5/09
A new version of our software was released on the 5th. This release contains both fixes and minor enhancements. Here's what's been updated in this release…
Enhancements: Contest editor – The tool for inserting a URL in the contest editor has been rebuilt to make it even easier to use.
Fixed: Email survey participants – Variables for user information (such as name) are now available when sending an email to a list that is created from a survey.
Fixed: Points expiration – improvements were made to the batch processing jobs that handle points expiration. This will help speed the monthly processing of expired points.
Fixed: Opening and searching contests – The list of contests that is initially generated when trying to open or search for a contest in the admin tool was inaccurate. The first search always generated no result, then the list would correct itself and subsequent searches would work properly. The cause of this issue was identified and corrected.
Fixed: Subscription page – The text on the subscription page of some sites ran slightly into the right column. This formatting issue has been fixed.
Fixed: Music testing perceptual questions – If you created a large number of perceptual questions or answer choices you would eventually run into a page size limit that would prevent you from expanding your list of questions/answers any further. The page size limit was increased to eliminate this issue.
Fixed: “Contact us” link – The “contact us” link was broken on the page where members update their account. This has been fixed.
Fixed: Custom registration fields – In certain instances custom registration fields designated as ‘not required’ were being required during registration. The cause of this issue has been fixed.
Fixed: Closed trade-in display – A tooltip displaying when a trade-in item will be available was triggered on closed trade-in instances. This has been fixed.
Fixed: Music test report error – An error was occurring when trying to view the report for a music test with a very large number of participants. This was due to a system limit. The limit was expanded to accommodate a much larger number of participants.
Fixed: File upload in contests – When a contest was set up to require participants to upload a video in order to enter the contest an error was generated. The issue causing this error has been corrected.
About our Software Releases
We are constantly hard at work to provide you with the best software in the industry. Our software releases are divided into two categories – very short small releases that mainly address software fixes but also include small enhancements, and longer bigger releases that include at least one significant upgrade to the platform or new service offering. Shorter releases will be labeled Minor Release and bigger releases will be labeled Major Release. If you have questions on any item in a release, please contact us at success@enticent.com.
