In July, our new contest module will get even better! With the contest module you can already create completely custom branded contest pages and decide whether you want to require points for entry or allow free entries without points. Now we are hooking you up with even more ability to customize your contests.
Collect More (or Less) Information From Contest Entrants
If you are a FanClub user you already have this feature. For StickyFish users, you will notice a new screen in your contest set up process.
One of the fundamental challenges of all websites is to direct visitors to the content areas that you want them to see. Rewards clubs are no different. The primary content in a rewards club, not surprisingly, is the “rewards”. Most listeners join rewards clubs because they want the prizes that are being given away. So the challenge is how to communicate what prizes are available in a way that is informative, attractive, and also easy to interact with. We have a great solution – the Contest List Page.
Getting permission to send an email is one thing, getting it delivered to the inbox can be quite another. The ISPs (Internet Service Providers) that host and maintain your subscribers’ email employ sophisticated filters to keep spam email content out of their users inboxes, and legitimate permission-based content often gets caught up in these filters.
Unfortunately, there is no simple formula to ensure your mail gets delivered to the inbox (if there was then spammers would use it as well). The filters employed by the ISPs are constantly changing to do battle with the latest spammer tactics. Most filters review the content of your message and apply a ‘score’ to your email based on certain characteristics that they consider common to spam messages. If your score gets too high, you get blocked. Here are some tips for keeping your score low and avoiding the spam folder:
