How many times have you been in a high-foot traffic location (an airport, shopping mall, etc.) and had someone approach you with a clipboard and ask you if you would like to take a short survey (often times to receive some kind of incentive like cash or a gift card)?
Normally these pollsters are working for a local market advertiser to gather feedback on their products or services. And the company conducting the survey is paid handsomely by the advertiser to bring back a certain amount of response.
How does this apply to you?
Your StickyFish program has a survey engine and a built-in "focus group" (your listener database) that can be utilized to gather local market feedback for advertisers (for a fee of course) while rewarding your audience for taking the survey with points. Take advantage of this to deliver fast, affordable, consumer research that will help your advertisers better understand their target consumer, create more compelling marketing messages, and build brand awareness.
Perceptual surveys can also be used to gather valuable data for your own purposes. You have an on-demand focus group of your most loyal audience members. Why not ask for their feedback about your online, on-air or print media, your broadcast personalities, your events, etc.?
Perhaps you've not used your StickyFish survey engine because you haven't been trained on setting up a survey yet. If that's the case, just log in to your StickyFish admin site, click on Help, then Training and you will find links to videos that walk you through setting up a survey and retrieving results.
